Cuphead

Cuphead is a platform shooter created by Chad Moldenhauer and Jared Moldenhauer who founded Studio MDHR.

It’s design is inspired from the rubber hose style of the golden age of American animation and the surrealist qualities of works of Walt Disney Animation Studios, Fleischer Studios, Warner Bros. Cartoons, MGM Cartoon Studio, and Walter Lantz Productions. All in-game assets used hand-drawn animation with deliberate human imperfections.

The soundtrack was composed by Kristofer Maddigan and was written for and recorded with a full jazz ensemble. For the DLC, the soundtrack expanded to big band and symphonic music.

A DLC expansion Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course adds a new area with its own campaign, including new bosses, weapons, and Charms; Ms. Chalice is a third playable character.

A animated series The Cuphead Show! was released on Netflix.
